What movies are out - Another movie brought by George
Clooney, The Descendants.
Surprisingly it wasn't a type of movie that needs high intelligence to be
watched like Ocean’s series or Up in The Air. It was a drama movie which is
very ordinary. But because it was very ordinary, The Descendants can give you a
real life story. It’s about affair, parents hood and family. And for the simple
plot, I think the duration is too long. It makes The Descendants become a
little bit boring at the end.
Here, George Clooney played as Matt King, The Descendants of a noble family in Hawaii. He has a wife who was in coma because of accident. The Descendants tells you how Matt dealing with his circumstances, a coma wife, the affair of his wife before she had the accident and the daughters who always get into trouble at schools. For Matt, it was hard at first, he doesn't know how to take care his girls and he feels sorry for his wife. He knows that he face an unhappy marriage, but then something came up which broke his heart. His eldest daughter who fought with his wife tells him that her mom was cheating with other guy. When The Descendants close to the end, Matt knows that his wife will not able to wake up.
The Descendants continue to shows you how Matt cooperates with his girls to find the guy who cheat on her wife. That situation makes him to get closer with his daughters and understand their feelings. The Descendant main character, Matt, found out that the guy who cheats on his wife was a broker of the land he wants to sell. At the end, he told the guy that his wife was dying. Then the sale was canceled. For my personal opinion, The Descendants is too ordinary for an actor like George Clooney.
