Underworld Awakening

What movies are out – This weekend first rank of box office chart in US is Underworld Awakening. Kate Beckinsale is back to Underworld after stop playing the character of Selene in Underworld sequel. Kate Beckinsale once again plays the character back in Underworld Awakening. This Beckinsale's presence clearly gives a real life into the story of Underworld Awakening. The plot starts when humans have been aware of the existence of Vampire and Lycan. They assume these creatures are dangerous to human existence. Then the government launched a large-scale operation to destroy every vampire and lycan. Underworld Awakening shows us that in her escape Selene get caught while she tried to find a cure for those infected by Vampire and Lycans. Selene then froze genetically.

Underworld Awakening stories continued, after 12 years the governments still try to destroy all the Vampires and Lycans. In this Underworld Awakening, Selene frozen body is referred as Subject 1 by the researchers was later awakened by Subject 2, a little girl with a mix blood between a Vampire and Lycan. I think this is why the sub title of this sequel called Underworld Awakening. Together with Subject 2, who then called Eve, they try to collect any memory of what happened to her during the last 12 years and also to find Michael, Selene’s boyfriend who also captured by the government. Underworld Awakening is the fourth movies of Underworld series. The third Underworld movies before are very awesome, I enjoy the most for history of the Vampire and Lycans, for love, friendship, war and hatred that provoke. but not in this Underworld Awakening.

In Underworld Awakening, Beckinsale able to give her best, as a strong female figure that could overcome anything in front of her and manage to looks stunning. In my opinion, the plot of this Underworld Awakening is quite fresh, they involves humans kind like in the first series. But this plot also the weakness of this sequel, the connection with the first three Underworld is so weak. The mystery was given in this Underworld Awakening is when we thought that the Lycans are on the verge of extinction, but it happens that the Lycans made it into the US government and begin to invade the vampire. And for that I can say that Underworld Awakening starts losing the power of the prequel, yet it is still a worth movies for Underworld fans.
