The Amazing Spider-Man

What movies are out – The Amazing Spider-Man is in the theatre. But wait, it is not Spider-Man 4 and it is not Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker. I am sorry, but yes it is. The cancellation to make Spider-Man 4 made Sony Pictures executives force to divert the project from sequel to reboot, so it becomes The Amazing Spider-Man. Isn’t it too soon to reboot a movie that has just been released 10 years ago with the last film was released 5 years ago? Yes, it seems in a hurry. The absence of Raimi and Tobey Maguire making the fans and moviegoers doubt the reboot titled The Amazing Spider-Man, especially for those who already love the Raimi’s style.

Before released, The Amazing Spider-Man already got critics everywhere. The Marvel haters cheered and not a few of the fans complain and raise a pessimistic tone about The Amazing Spider-Man. But isn’t too quick to judge while the film itself has not been release? Is Marc Webb really disabled to swap Sam Raimi? My personal opinion from what I saw last night, where I sat for 136 minutes in the theatre, the worries that had been issued to The Amazing Spider-Man was wrong. The Amazing Spider-Man is the second best in the Spider-Man series after Spider-Man 2!

Because The Amazing Spider-Man is a reboot, then the story went back to the beginning. However, it is kind of improvement. The Webb version is not exactly the same as Raimi. There are many sides of the story extracted with a different approach from Spider-Man 1. In The Amazing Spider-Man Webb furnish more emphasis to childhood history of Peter Parker until he turned into a nerd teenage. We are introduced to Peter's parents, Richard Parker and Mary Parker, who had left Peter mysteriously to Uncle Ben and Aunt May. In The Amazing Spider-Man there is no Mary Jane, this film present Gwen Stacy who is the first love of Peter in the comic version.
